Master carver Momik (active late 13th–early 14th century) is the most thoroughly documented medieval Armenian sculptor. Working primarily at Noravank monastery in Vayots Dzor, his identifiable style — fine-grained dense interlacing, high-relief carving, complex rosette compositions — is distinguishable from contemporaries through Patrick Donabédian's stylistic analysis.
