The Daredevils of Sassoun (Sasna Tsrer), Armenia's great oral epic, was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2012. The complete text spans approximately 17,000 verses across four generational cycles: (1) Sanasar and Baghdasar, founders of Sasun; (2) Mher the Great; (3) David of Sasun, the central hero; (4) Little Mher (Pokr Mher).
