Nature & Geography

Armenia is home to the endangered Caucasian leopard (Panthera pardus tulliana), with fewer than 1,100 adults remaining across its entire range. The species is protected within Khosrov Forest State Reserve in Ararat Province and the Zangezur Mountains, where camera-trap monitoring has confirmed individual leopards crossing the Armenian-Iranian border.
