Genocide & Resilience

Armenian genocide survivors established permanent communities across four continents within a decade of 1915: in Aleppo and Kessab (Syria), Marseille and Paris (France), Watertown MA and Glendale CA (USA), Buenos Aires (Argentina), and Sydney (Australia). Each community founded churches, Armenian-language schools, and a vernacular press as anchors of collective memory.
