Armenian Diaspora

Remittances from Armenians abroad have consistently equalled or exceeded 10% of Armenia's GDP, making the diaspora one of the country's largest single sources of foreign income. In some years remittances represented over 20% of GDP; even in recent years they remain at 7โ€“10%. Armenia is structurally dependent on diaspora financial flows in a way few other countries of its size are.
