Armenian Diaspora

Founded in 1928 in Cairo by Armenian intellectuals including former Prime Minister Hamo Ohanjanyan and writer Levon Shant, the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society now operates chapters across the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, and Australia, running schools, a literary magazine (Pakin), and theater groups dedicated to preserving Armenian language and culture in the diaspora.
