The Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), founded April 15, 1906 in Cairo by Boghos Nubar — son of Egypt's three-time prime minister — is the world's largest Armenian non-profit organization. With an annual international budget exceeding $47 million, 22,000 members, and 120 branches in 30 countries, AGBU has been a pillar of diaspora education, culture, and humanitarian relief for over a century, with headquarters that have migrated from Cairo to Paris (1921) to New York (1940).
